Houdini Procedural Soap / Bubbles

Exploration into procedural bubbles in Houdini. The bubbles resist penetrating into other bubbles in order to create a more believable effect. The effect is calculated by finding the center plane between each bubble and clamping the position of each bubble's points to not go past this dividing plane. The soap bar 'high poly' mesh is generated in Houdini with some 3d noises along with some chipping effects. The asset is baked in Substance. The secondary bubbles are the result of a material created in Substance Designer and blended procedurally onto the mesh in Painter. Rendered in Marmoset Toolbag 3 with refraction and subsurface scattering.
